Ranthambore liegt etwa vier Stunden von Jaipur, was eine einzige Safari als langen Tagesausflug machbar macht, wenn Sie keine Nacht erübrigen können. Sie verlieren die zweite Safari, die eine Übernachtung bringt, und die Sichtungschancen damit, aber Sie behalten Ihr Hotel in Jaipur und Ihren Zeitplan.

Der Park

Ranthambore ist um ein Fort aus dem 10. Jahrhundert herum entstanden, mit trockenem Laubwald, der darum aufgewachsen ist. Alte Tore, Chhatris und ein Stufenbrunnen liegen über das Reservat verstreut, was ihm ein Aussehen gibt, das nichts sonst in Indien hat.

Der Park ist vom 1. Juli bis 30. September geschlossen, wegen des Monsuns. Die Zonen 6 bis 10 bleiben manchmal offen, die Kernzonen nicht.
Safariplätze werden staatlich zugeteilt und sind ausverkauft in der Saison und um indische Feiertage. Buchen Sie so früh wie möglich: das ist die eigentliche Einschränkung.
Die Zone teilt die Forstbehörde zu, sie wird nicht gewählt. Manche Zonen haben bessere Bilanzen als andere, und niemand kann ehrlicherweise eine anfordern.
