One of the most unique experiences of my life. A real artisan showed us how to carve wooden blocks and then we printed our own fabric with traditional Rajasthani patterns. You get to keep what you make which is such a nice souvenir. The artisan familiy has been doing this for 5 generations and you can feel the pride they have in their craft. Absolutley loved it.

I am a graphic designer so this was right up my alley but honestly anyone would enjoy it. The process of hand block printing is way more complex than I imagined. Mixing natural dyes, aligning the blocks perfectly, the pressure you apply. Its an art form thats disappearing and this workshop helps keep it alive. Made a beautiful table runner that I will treasue forever.

Fantastico! My wife and I spent 2 hours printing fabric with a master craftsman. He was so patient teaching us the technique. The natural indigo dye process was fasinating to watch. We made matching scarves haha. The workshop is in a small village outside Jaipur, the drive is about 30 minutes but the setting is charming. Chai was provided. Really special afternoon.

Really cool workshop, the artisan was skilled and friendly. We learned about the entire process from raw fabric to finished product. The only reason for 4 stars is it was a bit shorter than I expected, about 1.5 hours total including the demonstration. But the quality of the experience was excellent and the printed fabric I took home is genuinly beautiful. Great for creative types.
