Der Nahargarh Biological Park bedeckt 720 Hektar an der Straße Jaipur-Delhi, zwölf Kilometer von der Stadt entfernt, innerhalb des größeren Nahargarh-Schutzgebiets. Es ist eine Rettungs- und Erhaltungseinrichtung statt eines traditionellen Zoos, die meisten seiner Tiere kamen aus Zirkussen, von Verletzungen, oder aus Konflikten mit Dörfern, und die Gehege sind Hügelwald statt Käfige.

Was es hier gibt

Asiatische Löwen, die in der Wildnis an genau einem Ort der Erde existieren, dem Gir-Wald in Gujarat, und etwa 700 an der Zahl sind. Die Zuchtprogramme in Parks wie diesem sind der Grund, warum es einen zweiten Korb für diese Eier gibt.

Die Vögel

Das ist der Teil, den die meisten Besucher nicht erwarten. Das Schutzgebiet verzeichnet über 285 Arten, und Ram Sagar im Park ist ein bekannter Vogelbeobachtungsort, Reiher, Störche, Eisvögel, Greifvögel darüber, und Zugvögel im Winter.

Die Löwen- und Tiger-Safari

Rechnen Sie mit mindestens zwei bis drei Stunden; begeisterte Vogelbeobachter werden einen ganzen Morgen wollen.

Dienstags geschlossen. Die Öffnungszeiten wechseln zwischen Sommer- und Winterplan, und die Tiere sind in den ersten und letzten Stunden des Tages am aktivsten, die Mitte eines heißen Nachmittags ist die schlechteste Zeit zum Kommen.
