Tuk-Tuk oder Wagen, und hier zählt die Wahl wirklich.
Jaipurs Mauerstadt wurde 1727 auf einem Raster angelegt, was für Indien ungewöhnlich ist, aber die Basargassen, die davon abgehen, sind eng und dauerhaft voll. Ein Tuk-Tuk fährt hinein und parkt überall. Ein Wagen ist klimatisiert, was zwischen April und September keine Kleinigkeit ist.
Diese Tour lässt Sie wählen, und der Guide ist in beiden Fällen derselbe.
Was Sie sehen
Amer Fort über dem Maota-See: der Spiegelsaal Sheesh Mahal, das bemalte Ganesh Pol, und das wassergekühlte Sukh Niwas.
City Palace, in dem die königliche Familie noch einen Teil bewohnt, mit den beiden riesigen Silberurnen im Diwan-i-Khas.
Jantar Mantar, neunzehn funktionierende Steininstrumente, darunter eine 27 Meter hohe Sonnenuhr, genau auf zwei Sekunden.
Hawa Mahal, die Fassade mit 953 Fenstern, und der Innenraum, den die meisten Besucher weglassen, für den Blick hinaus durch sie.
In der achtstündigen Tuk-Tuk-Variante bleibt außerdem Zeit für Panna Meena ka Kund, den symmetrischen Stufenbrunnen unterhalb von Amer, und die Altstadtgassen, in denen die Stoffdrucker und Lackarmreifenmacher arbeiten.
