Das ist eine kurze Tour, um eine Sache herum gebaut: beim Sonnenuntergang am Nahargarh Fort zu sein. Nahargarh liegt auf dem Aravalli-Grat und überblickt ganz Jaipur; von den Wehrgängen breitet sich die gesamte Mauerstadt unter Ihnen aus, mit den Amer-Hügeln dahinter. Es ist der beste Blick der Stadt, und er ist in der letzten Stunde Licht am besten, wenn der rosa Sandstein darunter richtig rosa wird.

Davor zwei Stopps, die auf den Weg hinauf passen.

Amer Fort, die Palastfestung des sechzehnten Jahrhunderts über dem Maota-See, mit dem Spiegelsaal Sheesh Mahal und dem Tor Ganesh Pol.

Panna Meena ka Kund, fünf Minuten von Amer und von fast jeder Tour weggelassen. Es ist ein achtgeschossiger Stufenbrunnen aus dem sechzehnten Jahrhundert, mit sich kreuzenden symmetrischen Treppen, die an allen vier Seiten zum Wasser hinabführen. Er fotografiert sich außerordentlich gut, und meist ist fast niemand dort. Die Stufen kann man nicht mehr begehen, was man wissen sollte, bevor man mit diesem Plan ankommt.
