Vier Städte in fünf Tagen klingt schnell, und es funktioniert, weil dies keine großen Orte zum Ansehen sind, Pushkar ist ein See und ein Tempel, Jodhpur ist ein Fort und ein blaues Viertel. Was Sie wirklich kaufen, ist die Straße zwischen ihnen, die zu den schönsten Landschaften Indiens zählt.

Jaipur

Amber Fort auf seinem Grat über dem Maota-See, der City Palace, die Steininstrumente des Jantar Mantar und der Hawa Mahal, und die Bazare, wo die Edelsteinschleifer und Lack-Armreif-Macher noch dort arbeiten, wo der Stadtplan von 1727 sie platzierte.

Pushkar

Darunter, Jaswant Thada aus Marmor, dünn genug, dass Sonnenlicht durchscheint, und die blauen Gassen um den Uhrturm, die Farbe war ein Kalk-Kupfer-Anstrich, der Termiten abhielt.

Udaipur

Der City Palace am Pichola-See, von zweiundzwanzig Herrschern über vier Jahrhunderte erbaut. Jagdish-Tempel von 1651. Und eine Bootsfahrt bei Sonnenuntergang, womit die Reise enden sollte.
