Dos safaris duplican sus posibilidades, y esa es la razón honesta para pasar la noche.

Ranthambore está a unas cuatro horas de Jaipur. Una excursión de un día le da un safari y mucha carretera. Dos días dan dos safaris en franjas distintas, y como los avistamientos de tigres dependen mucho de la suerte, la zona y la hora, dos es algo notablemente distinto de uno.

El parque

Ranthambore está construido alrededor de un fuerte del siglo X con bosque seco caducifolio crecido a su alrededor, y las ruinas repartidas por la reserva, puertas viejas, chhatris, un pozo escalonado, le dan un aspecto que no tiene nada más en la India. Tiene una población real de tigres además de leopardo, oso bezudo, sambar, cocodrilo de los pantanos y una lista de aves muy larga.
