Abhaneri es conocida por su "Baori" o pozo escalonado, inventado por los nativos para recolectar agua de lluvia. El Baori se usaba como un lugar fresco de retiro y como fuente/reservorio de agua durante las epocas aridas del anio. Chand Baori sigue siendo uno de los pozos escalonados mas profundos y grandes de India. El Baori consta de tres tramos de escaleras que descienden a la tierra con un palacio subterraneo en un lado. Los tramos de escaleras y el palacio estan todos dispuestos en un patron cuadrado, con el pozo en el fondo. El tramo de escalones tiene trece pisos de profundidad. El palacio en el fondo del Baori era un lugar donde se alojaba la familia real durante los calurosos dias de verano. Hay un gran patio alrededor del Baori desde donde se pueden obtener excelentes vistas del Baori. Alrededor del patio hay zonas cubiertas que albergan artefactos/idolos de arenisca intrincadamente tallados que datan del siglo X.
