Tuk-tuk o coche, y aquí la elección importa de verdad.
La ciudad amurallada de Jaipur se trazó sobre una retícula en 1727, algo poco habitual en la India, pero los callejones de bazar que salen de ella son estrechos y están permanentemente llenos. Un tuk-tuk entra por ellos y aparca en cualquier sitio. Un coche tiene aire acondicionado, que entre abril y septiembre no es poca cosa.
Esta visita le deja elegir, y el guía es el mismo en los dos casos.
Lo que ve
El Fuerte Amer sobre el lago Maota: la sala de espejos Sheesh Mahal, el Ganesh Pol pintado, y el Sukh Niwas refrescado con agua.
El City Palace, del que la familia real habita todavía una parte, con las dos enormes urnas de plata del Diwan-i-Khas.
El Jantar Mantar, diecinueve instrumentos de piedra en funcionamiento, entre ellos un reloj de sol de 27 metros exacto hasta dos segundos.
El Hawa Mahal, la fachada de 953 ventanas, y el interior, que casi todos se saltan, por la vista a través de ellas.
En la opción de ocho horas en tuk-tuk hay además tiempo para Panna Meena ka Kund, el pozo escalonado simétrico bajo Amer, y los callejones de la ciudad vieja donde trabajan los estampadores con tampón y los fabricantes de brazaletes de laca.
