Jai Singh II trazó Jaipur en 1727 sobre un plano de nueve cuadrados con anchos de calle fijados por norma, y la arquitectura que siguió está llena de arcos repetidos, fachadas con espejos y geometría escalonada. Por eso se fotografía como lo hace.

Puerta Patrika
Nueve arcos pintados en Jawahar Circle, cada superficie cubierta de murales de las regiones de Rajastán, retrocediendo en perspectiva perfecta. El lugar no-fuerte más fotografiado de la ciudad, y concurrido desde las nueve, así que ve primero.
Panna Meena ka Kund
El pozo escalonado del siglo 16 debajo de Amber: escaleras simétricas entrecruzadas que descienden ocho plantas hasta el agua. Geometría de Escher, y tranquilo porque los autocares se lo saltan.
Hawa Mahal
Desde la calle de enfrente, por la mañana, cuando el sol da en la fachada. 953 ventanas en cinco plantas, y apenas un metro de profundidad, por eso se lee como un patrón más que como una masa. Hay una cafetería en la azotea al otro lado de la calle que usan todos los fotógrafos.
Fuerte Amber
La puerta Ganesh Pol, la cámara de espejos del Sheesh Mahal, y los patios que ascienden por la cresta sobre el lago Maota. Temprano, antes de las multitudes.
City Palace
Pritam Niwas Chowk, donde cuatro puertas llevan cada una una estación y una deidad. La puerta del pavo real es la que todos fotografían, y suele haber una cola de gente con conjuntos iguales esperándola.
Gaitor ki Chhatriyan
Los cenotafios reales de mármol blanco tallado al pie de la colina de Nahargarh, fotografiados por casi nadie.

Another fantastic tour with Vinod for our second day in Jaipur. We visited the Amber Fort, the Wind Palace and Patrika Gate on today’s tour. Vinod was brilliant at giving us hints and tips about how to best experience these sights. His driving is fantastic and his car is a lovely, comfortable, A/C blasting bubble to keep you comfortable as the heat rises! After discussing what we else we wanted to visit during our time in Jaipur, Vinod also arranged for us to visit a local artist workshop (Khajana Art), which had some beautiful paintings and the Sawai Jai Singh Cenotaph which was a beautiful, quiet monument away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Thank you so much Vinod for being the best guide we could have asked for during our visit to Jaipur!
Knowledge 10/10 Comfort 10/10 Safety 10/10 During the trip we saw all of Jaipur and what’s on offer here… we were also warned about what to watch out for and how to avoid being scammed by unofficial tour guides. The route was built around what we wished to see and was totally customisable. Vinod was extremely friendly and he gave us a unique experience!
My guide Khalid very kind , friendly and knowledgeable. Patient and also a good photographer what is a big plus ! He shared a lot of info about Jaipur’s culture and history of Rajasthan . The driver Manish arrived on time in a very clean car with a good air conditioning . He drove safely with calm all day long . Thank you for the wonderful day ? Highly recommend this tour !
Saqlain took me to many beautiful places in Jaipur and made the whole experience really enjoyable. He also took lots of photos for me, and even in the hot weather, he was very considerate and checked on how I was feeling, which made the trip very comfortable. Mohsin Khan fue mi guia turista en Español y fue impresionante.
