City Palace

Todavía habitado en parte por la familia real, razón por la que los aposentos del Chandra Mahal están cerrados y el resto no. La colección textil y de vestuario del Mubarak Mahal, el Diwan-i-Khas con dos urnas de plata de ley que siguen siendo los mayores objetos de plata de una sola pieza jamás fabricados, hechas para que Sawai Madho Singh II pudiera llevar agua del Ganges a Inglaterra en 1901, y el Pritam Niwas Chowk con sus cuatro puertas pintadas para las cuatro estaciones.

Jantar Mantar

Construido por Jai Singh II en la década de 1730 y bastante más interesante de lo que suena un patio de piedra. Diecinueve instrumentos, todos en funcionamiento. El Samrat Yantra es un reloj de sol de 27 metros exacto hasta dos segundos, y su guía puede mostrárselo marcando la hora correcta.

Hawa Mahal

La fachada rosa de cinco plantas con 953 ventanas, construida en 1799 para que las mujeres de la casa pudieran mirar la calle sin ser vistas. Casi todos los visitantes la fotografían desde la acera de enfrente; entrar le da la vista a través de esas ventanas y la brisa a la que alude el nombre.

Jal Mahal

En medio del lago Man Sagar, cuatro de sus cinco plantas bajo el agua cuando el lago está lleno. Cerrado a los visitantes: es una parada panorámica, y a la hora adecuada merece los diez minutos.
