Depuis Jaipur : visite privée du puits à degrés d'Abhaneri. Cette visite est très spéciale pour ceux qui veulent voir des choses anciennes au Rajasthan.

Abhaneri est connue pour son « Baori », ou puits à degrés, inventé par les habitants pour récolter l'eau de pluie. Le Baori servait de lieu de retraite fraîche et de source/réservoir d'eau pendant les périodes arides de l'année. Chand Baori reste l'un des puits à degrés les plus profonds et les plus grands d'Inde. Le Baori se compose de trois volées d'escaliers descendant dans la terre avec un palais souterrain d'un côté. Les volées d'escaliers et le palais sont tous disposés selon un motif carré, avec le puits se trouvant au tout fond. L'escalier descend sur treize étages. Le palais au fond du Baori était un lieu de séjour pour les familles royales pendant les journées chaudes de l'été. Il y a une grande cour tout autour du Baori d'où l'on peut avoir de superbes vues sur le Baori. Tout autour de la cour se trouvent des zones couvertes abritant des artefacts/idoles en grès finement sculptés datant du Xe siècle.
