Phi Phi depuis Krabi plutôt que depuis Phuket, ce qui raccourcit la traversée et change l'ordre d'arrivée.

Le groupe de Phi Phi se compose de deux îles principales. Phi Phi Don est habitée, un isthme de sable étroit avec un village entre deux baies, et Phi Phi Leh est inhabitée et c'est là que se trouve Maya Bay. Maya Bay a fermé entièrement de 2018 à 2022 pour permettre au récif de se régénérer, et a rouvert sous des règles strictes : les bateaux amarrent à l'arrière de l'île et les visiteurs marchent à travers, la baignade dans la baie elle-même est restreinte, et le nombre de visiteurs quotidiens est plafonné.
