Tour Itinerary
The schedule below is a suggested plan and can be adjusted to suit your preferences.
Hawa mahal
The Hawa Mahal is one of Jaipur’s most iconic landmarks, built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Known as the “Palace of Winds,” it features a unique five-story façade with 900+ small windows (jharokhas) designed to allow cool air to circulate, keeping the structure naturally ventilated. Constructed from pink sandstone, its intricate honeycomb design allowed royal women to observe street festivals and daily life without being seen. Today, it stands as a stunning example of Rajput architecture and a must-visit attraction in Jaipur.
City palace
The City Palace is a magnificent landmark in the heart of Jaipur, built in the 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. This grand complex beautifully blends Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, featuring courtyards, gardens, and ornate buildings. The palace still serves as a royal residence, while parts of it are open to visitors as museums displaying royal costumes, weapons, manuscripts, and artifacts. Highlights include the Mubarak Mahal, Chandra Mahal, and the beautifully decorated Peacock Gate. It offers a fascinating glimpse into Jaipur’s royal heritage and regal lifestyle.
Jantar Mantar
The Jantar Mantar is a remarkable 18th-century astronomical observatory in Jaipur, built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest and best-preserved observatories of its kind. The site features a collection of massive stone instruments designed to measure time, track celestial bodies, and observe astronomical movements with impressive accuracy. Its most famous structure, the Samrat Yantra, is the world’s largest stone sundial. Jantar Mantar stands as a testament to India’s advanced scientific knowledge and architectural ingenuity in ancient astronomy.

A brilliant first day in Jaipur. Our guide clearly loved the City Palace and pointed out details in the peacock gates I'd have completely walked past. The private car meant we never felt rushed, and having the entry tickets already sorted saved us standing in the ticket queues in the heat. Hawa Mahal from the rooftop café opposite was the highlight for photos.
Jantar Mantar completely surprised me. I expected a quick stop but our guide spent real time explaining how the giant sundial actually tells time to the second, and my teenage son was hooked. Pickup from our hotel was punctual and the AC car was spotless. Worth every rupee of the 201 dollars for a stress-free day.
We travelled with my mother who is in her seventies and this tour was perfect for her. Very little hard walking, the driver dropped us right at each entrance, and the cold water bottles were a lifesaver. City Palace has a few stairs but nothing difficult. The guide adjusted the pace to us the whole time.
Really solid tour and a knowledgeable guide, but be warned the area around Hawa Mahal gets crowded and there are persistent sellers on the street. Our stop there felt slightly rushed compared to City Palace. That said, having a private car and prepaid tickets made the whole thing easy, and Jantar Mantar was a genuine highlight.
Faultless organisation. We booked the night before and got confirmation with our guide's name within minutes. Six hours was exactly right for these three sites without feeling stretched. Our guide framed the Mughal and Rajasthani influences at the City Palace beautifully. January weather was ideal, cool enough to enjoy the open courtyards at Jantar Mantar.
Exactly the introduction to the Pink City we wanted. The guide tailored everything to what interested us and even added a quick photo stop at Jal Mahal on the way. Loved that tolls, parking and tickets were all included so there was zero fumbling for cash at each monument. Booking online was seamless.
Good value private tour with a friendly, well-informed guide. My only note is that late April in Jaipur is brutally hot, and by the time we reached the open sections of Jantar Mantar around midday it was hard to concentrate. Start early if you can. The air-conditioned car between stops was very welcome and City Palace was magnificent.
Second time using a private guide in Jaipur and this was the smoothest yet. Hotel pickup on the dot, an unhurried walk through City Palace, and clear commentary throughout. Hawa Mahal in the morning light was stunning. Having a government-approved guide made a real difference in how much history we actually took in.
