An open jeep is the right vehicle for the ridge road.
The road up to Nahargarh is narrow, steep and full of switchbacks, and the whole point is the view off the side of it. In a car you look through glass. In an open jeep you do not, and at sunset with the city spreading out below, that is the difference the tour is built on.
Where it goes
Up to Nahargarh Fort on the Aravalli ridge for sunset over the whole of Jaipur — the best view in the city and best in the last hour of light, when the pink sandstone below actually goes pink.
Past Amer Fort and Jaigarh lit along the ridge after dark.
And through the Pink City itself at night: Hawa Mahal floodlit without its daytime crowd, the bazaars still trading, Jal Mahal reflected in Man Sagar Lake.
