Treffen Sie den Wanderführer außerhalb des Ausgangstors der U-Bahn-Station Qutub Minar. Unser kompetenter Guide ist gut mit der Geschichte und dem Erbe des Ortes vertraut. Er beginnt mit einer kurzen Geschichte über den Ort und die Relikte. Zeit, die Ruinen des historischen "Mehrauli Archäologischen Parks" zu entdecken. Delhis faszinierende Geschichtsschichten liegen vor Ihnen offen. Segeln Sie durch Jahrhunderte Delhis Vergangenheit, während unser Wanderführer die Geschichten über die antiken Denkmäler erzählt.

Metcalfe Canopy: ein einzigartiger Baldachin auf der Spitze eines hügeligen Hügels, erbaut in den 1850er Jahren vom britischen Gelehrten "Charles Metcalfe" als "Folly". Es wird Folly genannt, da eine Folly ein relativ neues Gebäude ist, das eigentlich alt aussehen soll. Mit einer malerischen Landschaft im Hintergrund wirkt die Folly so charmant. Strukturell wie ein Sechseck erbaut.

Rajon ki Baoli: ein atemberaubender Stufenbrunnen (lokal "Baoli" genannt). Dieser Baoli ist nach gespenstischen Steinmetzen benannt, die in seinen unterirdischen Kammern lebten. Der Baoli hat einen vertikalen Schacht zum Wasserschöpfen und daneben hohle Durchgänge mit kleinen Kammern, um der Hitze während indischer Sommer zu entgehen. Dieser Ort gilt als der am meisten verfolgte Ort Delhis während der späten Nachtstunden.

Jamali-Kamali-Moschee: diese antike Moschee und Grab, erbaut aus rotem Sandstein, gehörte einem Heiligen mit großer lokaler Anhängerschaft. Auch hier bleiben Menschen in den späten Abendstunden von diesem Ort fern, und er gilt als verflucht mit vielen Geschichten über geisterhafte Begegnungen und Missgeschicke.

Ende: Nun geht die Gruppe zusammen mit dem Wanderführer zurück zur U-Bahn-Station Qutub Minar und die Tour endet.

We had a great tour of Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Park with our guide Mayank and our driver Zeeshan. Mayank was very knowledgeable about the history of the monuments we visited and told us many fascinating anecdotes.

The driver (Ali) picked us up on time and drove us safely to the Mehrauli Archeological Parks. Here we met Mayank (Mike) our guide for the tour. Mike has a wast knowledge about history and and buildings visited. He explained and answered all our questinons. We are very satisfied with with him and will book another tour on our return to Delhi.
