Das Goldene Dreieck in drei Tagen ist ein Sprint. Sieben Tage decken dieselbe Runde mit Luft ab und ergänzen die zwei Dinge, die in einen kurzen Ablauf nie passen: ein Tigerreservat und Varanasi.

Die Strecke

Delhi für Qutub Minar, Humayun-Mausoleum, Rotes Fort, Jama Masjid und die Lutyens-Alleen.

Agra für den Taj Mahal, idealerweise bei Sonnenaufgang, das Agra Fort, und Fatehpur Sikri an der Straße nach Westen.

Jaipur für das Amer Fort und den Sheesh Mahal, den City Palace, das Jantar Mantar und den Hawa Mahal, mit Zeit für die Basare statt eines Sprints zwischen zwei Forts.

Ranthambore für die Safari: eine Festung aus dem 10. Jahrhundert mit trockenem Wald ringsum, mit einer echten Tigerpopulation sowie Leoparden, Lippenbären und sehr vielen Vögeln.

Varanasi zum Abschluss, und die Stadt gleicht nichts davor auf der Strecke: die Ghats im Morgengrauen, die Ganga Aarti am Dashashwamedh am Abend, und eine Bootsfahrt bei Sonnenaufgang entlang der Uferfront.
