Alt-Delhi

Shah Jahans Stadt ab 1639. Das Rote Fort, zwei Kilometer Mauer aus rotem Sandstein und Sitz der Mogulmacht bis 1857. Die Jama Masjid, Indiens größte Moschee. Chandni Chowk und die Fachgassen davon: Silber in Dariba Kalan, Hochzeitsborten im Kinari Bazaar, der Gewürzmarkt in Khari Baoli. Dieser Abschnitt geht zu Fuß oder per Rikscha, Autos kommen nicht hinein.

Neu-Delhi

Lutyens' Hauptstadt ab 1911. Das India Gate und die Rajpath, das Rashtrapati Bhavan vom Vorplatz, das Humayun-Mausoleum, der direkte Prototyp des Taj Mahal, und der Qutub Minar mit seiner rostfreien Eisensäule.

Acht Stunden reichen, um beide richtig zu sehen statt sie zu fotografieren.
