Amanecer en el Taj, con alguien que sabe dónde colocarse.
El Taj con la primera luz es la versión que la gente recuerda. El mármol se ve gris antes de que el sol pase el horizonte, vira al rosa y luego se asienta en el blanco. La multitud a las 6 de la mañana es una fracción de la que habrá a las diez, y la temperatura se soporta incluso en mayo.
Lo que cambia aquí es el fotógrafo. No un guía con un móvil, sino alguien que trabaja el lugar a diario y conoce los puntos que dan la cúpula enmarcada desde la Gran Puerta, el reflejo en el estanque largo, el banco y los ángulos laterales por delante de los cuales la mayoría de los visitantes pasa de largo. Te llevas cinco fotografías acabadas, en copia impresa y digital, de tu grupo y no cinco por persona.
Los horarios
Recogida en tu hotel de Delhi de madrugada para el trayecto por la Yamuna Expressway. Llegas a la puerta antes de que abra, que es justo de lo que se trata, y entras con el primer grupo. Unas dos horas dentro con el fotógrafo y el guía, y después la vuelta a Delhi. Unas cinco horas y media en total.

El Taj cierra los viernes.
El amanecer se mueve a lo largo del año. En diciembre la puerta abre hacia las 6:45 y en junio más bien hacia las 5:15. Tu hora de recogida se ajusta a eso.
La entrada para extranjeros cuesta 1100 ₹ más 200 ₹ por la plataforma del mausoleo.
Los trípodes no se permiten dentro, y esa es una de las razones por las que importa un fotógrafo que conozca la luz.
Es una salida muy temprana tras una noche corta. El coche es cómodo y el trayecto de vuelta es un buen momento para dormir.
