El Taj Mahal al amanecer. Sales de Delhi de noche para estar en la puerta cuando abre. El mármol se ve gris, luego rosa y luego blanco a medida que el sol sube por detrás, y la primera hora es el momento más vacío del recinto.
Itimad-ud-Daulah, el Baby Taj, construido por Nur Jahan para su padre dos décadas antes que el Taj. Es el primer edificio mogol revestido por completo de mármol blanco con incrustaciones de pietra dura, y es donde se afinaron las técnicas que el Taj hizo famosas. Pequeño, con sombra y casi vacío.
