El Taj al abrir y el Taj a las once son edificios distintos. Con la primera luz el recinto tiene unos cientos de personas en vez de varios miles, el mármol está lo bastante fresco para pisarlo descalzo, y la piedra pasa del gris al rosa y luego al blanco cuando el sol despeja el horizonte por detrás de la cúpula.
El precio es el despertador. Sales de Delhi de madrugada para hacer las tres horas de la autopista Yamuna y estar en la puerta antes de que abra. El coche es un buen sitio para dormir a la vuelta.
Cómo va el día
Recogida en el hotel o el aeropuerto de Delhi. Vehículo privado con aire acondicionado para todo el recorrido. Llegas antes del alba y entras con el primer grupo.
Tu guía te lleva por la entrada de la Gran Puerta, los jardines y el estanque, la plataforma de mármol y el interior del mausoleo, a un ritmo que marca la luz y no un horario. Según la opción queda tiempo para el Fuerte de Agra después, y luego la vuelta. Unas doce horas en total.

El amanecer se mueve a lo largo del año, de las 6:45 aproximadas a finales de diciembre a las 5:15 en junio, así que la recogida se desplaza con la estación. Confirmamos la tuya al reservar.
De noviembre a febrero, la niebla del río puede tapar la cúpula durante la primera hora antes de levantar. Da fotos notables mientras dura, pero si te importa un amanecer despejado, evita finales de diciembre y enero.
Lleva una capa de más. Agra antes del alba en invierno es genuinamente fría, haga lo que haga la tarde.
