El Triángulo de Oro con un fuerte donde dormir

La diferencia entre este y cualquier otro triángulo de seis días es la última parada. El fuerte-palacio de Neemrana se construyó en 1464 en una colina del distrito de Alwar y se restauró durante décadas hasta convertirse en un hotel que ocupa doce niveles tallados en la roca. Alojarse en él es algo genuinamente distinto de fotografiar fuertes toda la semana.

Delhi

La Jama Masjid, el trayecto en rickshaw por Chandni Chowk, India Gate, la tumba de Humayun, la tumba-jardín mogol de la década de 1560 de la que desciende el Taj, y Qutub Minar.

Agra

El Taj Mahal al amanecer, cuando el mármol pasa de gris a rosado y luego a blanco y la multitud es escasa. Luego el fuerte de Agra, y el Musamman Burj, donde Aurangzeb encarceló a su padre ocho años, con el Taj a la vista a lo largo del río.

Fatehpur Sikri en el camino hacia el oeste: la capital de Akbar de 1571, abandonada tras catorce años cuando el agua se agotó, razón por la que permanece intacta.

Jaipur

Neemrana
