El templo nuevo más visitado de la India

Ayodhya es considerada por los hindúes el lugar de nacimiento de Rama, y el Ram Mandir, consagrado en enero de 2024 en el sitio más disputado de la historia india moderna, es hoy uno de los lugares más visitados del país.

Sea cual sea su opinión sobre la política, la escala de lo que ocurre allí es notable: una ciudad-templo de unos pocos cientos de miles de habitantes que recibe decenas de millones de peregrinos al año, con una infraestructura de carreteras y ferrocarril completamente nueva construida alrededor.

El trayecto

Unos 690 km desde Delhi, así que este es un verdadero viaje de dos días. Coche privado con chófer en ambos sentidos.

Ram Mandir

Construido en estilo Nagara con arenisca rosa de Bansi Paharpur, sobre un pedestal de tres pisos y 392 columnas, con el santuario alineado para que la luz del sol caiga sobre la deidad al mediodía de Ram Navami.
