La Vieja Delhi

La ciudad de Shah Jahan, desde 1639. El Fuerte Rojo, dos kilómetros de muralla de arenisca roja y sede del poder mogol hasta 1857. La Jama Masjid, la mezquita más grande de India. Chandni Chowk y los callejones especializados que salen de ella: plata en Dariba Kalan, adornos de boda en Kinari Bazaar, el mercado de especias en Khari Baoli. Ese tramo se hace a pie o en rickshaw; los coches no pueden entrar.

La Nueva Delhi

La capital de Lutyens, desde 1911. La India Gate y Rajpath, el Rashtrapati Bhavan desde la explanada, la tumba de Humayun, el prototipo directo del Taj Mahal, y el Qutub Minar con su pilar de hierro que no se oxida.

Ocho horas bastan para hacer las dos bien en vez de fotografiarlas.
