Commencer sur un tapis, finir au Taj

C'est une longue journée au départ de Delhi avec une première heure inhabituelle : une séance de yoga au lever du soleil à Agra, avant que les visites ne commencent. Cela fonctionne mieux qu'il n'y paraît, car la route se fait de toute façon à moitié endormi, et arriver au Taj après s'être déjà étiré change la visite par rapport à quatre heures de voiture directement enchaînées.

La route

Yoga au lever du soleil

Taj Mahal

Puis le monument dans la lumière du matin, avec un guide agréé. Le tombeau que Shah Jahan a fait construire pour Mumtaz Mahal, commencé en 1632, vingt-deux ans de construction.

Les détails qu'il vaut la peine de se faire montrer : la calligraphie dimensionnée pour se lire d'une hauteur égale depuis le sol, les fleurs de pietra dura portant des dizaines de pierres, les minarets inclinés vers l'extérieur pour qu'un séisme les fasse tomber loin du dôme, et l'asymétrie volontaire du cénotaphe de Shah Jahan lui-même.

Le fort d'Agra

Le fort d'Akbar, 1565, en grès rouge, avec les palais de marbre ajoutés par son petit-fils, et le Musamman Burj, la tour où ce petit-fils a été emprisonné par son propre fils, regardant le Taj le long du fleuve.

Douze heures de porte à porte. Le Taj est fermé le vendredi.

Portez une tenue dans laquelle vous pouvez bouger pour la première heure ; il y a du temps pour vous changer avant les visites.
