La Yamuna fait désormais partie du problème

Le Taj a été construit sur une rive pour une raison précise : l'eau le reflétait, rafraîchissait la terrasse, et formait le quatrième côté de la composition. La Yamuna à Agra est aujourd'hui lourdement polluée et son niveau est bas une grande partie de l'année, c'est pourquoi le reflet que les gens photographient est généralement celui du bassin du jardin plutôt que du fleuve.

Cela compte aussi sur le plan structurel. Les fondations reposent sur des puits de bois conçus pour rester humides, et la baisse de la nappe phréatique est une des choses que surveillent les conservateurs. La pollution de l'air est l'autre : le marbre jaunit, et la Cour suprême a fait fermer ou convertir des industries autour de la ville pour cette raison.

Rien de tout cela ne gâche la visite. Cela vaut d'être su car cela explique les restrictions que vous rencontrerez : la zone d'exclusion des véhicules, les bus électriques, l'interdiction de tout ce qui brûle.

La journée

Véhicule privé de New Delhi à Agra, sur les rives de ce fleuve, en environ trois heures et demie.

Taj Mahal. Shah Jahan l'a fait construire pour Mumtaz Mahal à partir de 1632, vingt-deux ans, vingt mille ouvriers, du marbre venu de Makrana, à 400 km.

La calligraphie gravée en lettres de plus en plus grandes pour se lire d'une hauteur égale depuis le sol ; la pietra dura, jusqu'à soixante pierres par fleur ; les quatre minarets inclinés vers l'extérieur pour qu'un séisme les fasse tomber loin du tombeau ; et la seule asymétrie, le cénotaphe de Shah Jahan lui-même, ajouté hors de l'axe par Aurangzeb.

Without doubt one of the favourite Best Day Tours Me and Mrs. HAD We Started the Journey at 3am and Driver Pankaj was on Time to Pick Us Up warmly welcomed us , our names were mentioned on the board and we felt welcomed and with such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic start! The Tour Guide Amir was extremely good, well Spoken very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had great Taj Mahal and Agra fort Tour, Amir The Tour Guide and Driver Pankaj is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!).
