Trois choses que Delhi fait bien, en une journée

Un soin, un ou deux monuments, et de la cuisine, organisés pour que la journée commence lentement et monte en puissance, plutôt que le sprint habituel entre les forts.

L'ayurvéda

En premier, dans un centre de bien-être avec des thérapeutes formés. Une courte consultation précède tout : ce que vous en attendez, ce qui est raide, ce qui est tendu, et si vous avez des conditions excluant certains soins.

Le traitement standard est l'abhyanga, huile médicinale chaude travaillée en longs mouvements sur les membres et le torse, habituellement par un ou deux thérapeutes travaillant en rythme. C'est plus ferme qu'un massage de spa, et beaucoup plus d'huile est utilisée. Vous êtes censé la laisser sur votre peau un moment plutôt que de la rincer immédiatement.

L'ayurvéda est pratiqué en Inde depuis environ trois mille ans, et sa logique est constitutionnelle : le traitement et l'huile sont choisis pour vous plutôt que sur un menu.

La culture

Les sites de Delhi au milieu de la journée, choisis pour leur intérêt plutôt que pour cocher une liste, le tombeau de Humayun, le tombeau-jardin des années 1560 dont le Taj descend, est le point d'ancrage habituel, avec Qutub Minar ou le musée de l'artisanat selon votre intérêt et la circulation.

La gastronomie

La moitié culinaire est soit une session de cuisine, soit une promenade gastronomique guidée, selon l'option et le jour.

S'il s'agit d'une promenade, attendez-vous au vieux Delhi : parathas frits au ghee à Paranthe Wali Gali, chaat, jalebi avec rabri, et un guide qui sait quels étals renouvellent leur huile.

S'il s'agit d'un cours, attendez-vous à une cuisine privée et à un menu nord-indien que vous cuisinez puis mangez.
