Famille d'accueil à Delhi : yoga, saree, henné et bien d'autres activités

Roopak and Nidhi were great hosts, welcoming, safe, professional and fun! It was absolutely nice to interact with them and would love to go back visit. I hope to be able to host them as well sometimes in Europe ☺️ the activities were also really insightful. After an elegant welcome and short house tour with explanation, we danced together a simple choreography. Nidhi really helped connecting me with the music and lyrics. I went later to the local Dakhra weekly farmers market with Roopak and it was one of the best experiences of the whole trip.

If this is your first time or hundredth time in India, you need to meet Nidhi and Roopak for a cultural exchange that you won’t forget? Why?! Because they welcome you into their home with so much care, detail, smiles and treatment! They are proud of their country of India and are a wealth of knowledge! Their home alone will introduce you to so any aspects of Indian culture from religion to cooking to hospitality! I instantly connected with them and they felt like friends from the moment I arrived! They taught me how to dress in a saree and dance Bollywood! I visited local market and cowshed with their guide and direction…safe and informative the whole time! I landed in India and this was my first activity with this couple and it set up my whole visit to India with such a positive note! They really care about their sharing of Indian culture and I can see that this is what they are meant to do with their lives….invite people to learn and experience their lives here in India! Absolutely loved this tour! The guides were amazing and went above and beyond what we expected! Each 30 minute session we chose was so informative and you really got to understand the Indian culture better. Their communication before the activities was amazing. Roohpak and Nidhi were so welcoming and made us feel so welcomed in their home. It was my friend daughter birthday that day and they made it extra special for her. If I’m back in India I would definitely book another guide with them.

Great value for money and a lovely way to end our time with Nidhi and Roopak. Learning about traditional art whilst creating some of our own to take home. Nidhi did just a beautiful henna for me and my friend. It was also very interesting to learn about the henna process and the ink used.

We would like to thank the lovely couple for the wonderful stay. She made us beautiful Henna tattoos on our hands, and we loved them! They welcomed us warmly with traditional Indian treats, and we felt very comfortable from the start. Communication via WhatsApp about our arrival was also smooth. Two truly amazing people – we highly recommend visiting them!

O apartamento deles é lindo demais, todo decorado em um estilo moderno e ainda assim bem característico indiano, é uma atração a parte. Contratamos o ioga, aula de dança e passeio no mercado. Valeu a pena pois era nosso ultimo dia na India e ainda não tínhamos feito ioga e dança, e eram coisas que estavam no meu checklist. O Ioga, apesar de ser 30min, foi otimo e intenso para quem estava 10 dias sem exercício fisico. A dança achei que poderia ser passado mais como um passo a passo dos movimentos, e ou ter um espelho na sala onde foi passado. Mas claro que entendo pois apenas 30 min seria mais como uma experiência e não aula profissional, valeu! O passeio no mercado foi muito bom, preços bons e opções legais de comer. Gostaria de ter conhecido antes! O casal é muito querido e simpático, ajudou-nós tambem a irmos embora de metro. Fomos Recebidos com plaquinha com nosso nome, muito fofos. Recomendo!!

La gentillesse et la bonté à l’état pur ! Nidhi et Roopak m’ont accueilli comme un membre de leur famille J’ai pu faire une introduction au yoga, faire l’expérience du sari et aller visiter une ferme de vache et ça a été 2h superbe. Ils sont très facilement joignable et il est très facile d’accéder à leur domicile. J’ai hâte de retourner en Inde pour leur rendre visite ou le croiser quelque part dans le monde car ils font vraiment parti de ces personnes chaleureuses qui illumine le quotidien. What a wonderful welcome into a beautiful home with blessings and cool water. We chose henna, painting, yoga, cow shed and ohm information activities. The order of activities was perfected by our hosts who were so informative, warm and kind. Each activity was so special, framed with breaks, fresh water and information. We couldn't have picked a better way to spend a day, as we learnt so much about Hindi culture in an immersive way. The yoga was so perfect in the morning, cow shed in the afternoon with the milk delivery was so special to me. Brilliantly clear instructions for arrival and so close to the airport for layovers. Can't recommend this authentic activity more! Follow up info and gifts were also so special, 10/10 will remember forever!

I wasn't able to visit due to an error on my part, and even still, this couple was so nice to me. Nidhi was in contact with me the entire time, guiding me from afar and sending me the information I needed to made my stay in India better, all without even without meeting in person. Bless these people!
