We had a great morning with Nisha. The tour was made so much more special by a person who has lived there and has such a positive attitude and wealth of knowledge about her local area. I would highly recommend this tour and Nisha as it was a fantastic insight to this part of Delhi. This tour has really changed my views on the Delhi slums in a very positive way after learning more about the people and their way of life. Not only it was delivered by someone who was born and brought up there, Nisha was educated and very personable which has made this my most memorable tour whilst in Delhi.
I took a slum tour in Delhi with Vijay as my guide, and it was one of the most eye-opening experiences I’ve had in India. The area we visited is home to a community working mostly in the clothing recycling industry, something I would have never had access to or even known about without Vijay. He was respectful, knowledgeable, and clearly trusted by the people living there.
Truly a remarkable step inside a local environment and side of Delhi. Vijay was such a great guide and truly made me feel welcomed into the community! HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a local safe Delhi experience!!
