The Gatimaan Express made this so easy. We were picked up dead on 6am from our hotel near Connaught Place and were standing in front of the Taj by quarter past ten. Our guide knew exactly which angles made the best photos and got us straight past the queues. Home in Delhi by dinner, no exhausting highway drive. Worth every penny.

Did the all-inclusive option and it was completely stress-free. Tickets sorted, skip-the-line at both the Taj and Agra Fort, and the 5-star lunch was a proper spread with loads of veg choices for my wife. The train ride itself was smooth and the breakfast on board was a nice touch. Guide told brilliant stories about the Mughals at the fort.

A wonderful day overall and the fast train is genuinely impressive. My only honest note is the 6am start is brutal if you're jetlagged, and by the time we reached Agra Fort at half twelve the October sun was strong and the Taj had filled with crowds. Still, our driver was waiting at the station as promised and everything ran on time. Would recommend.

Excellent organisation from start to finish. The confirmed Chair Car seats meant no scrambling, and travelling in November the weather was perfect for wandering the fort. Our guide was an approved government one and clearly knowledgeable, happy to slow down for our two teenagers. Booking the Gatimaan option over a car was the right call for us, far more comfortable.

Brilliant way to see the Taj Mahal in a single day from Delhi. The Gatimaan really is fast, we barely settled in before Agra Cantt. Skip-the-line access saved us a huge amount of standing around in the heat. Our guide framed the whole Shah Jahan love story beautifully and pointed out marble inlay details I'd never have noticed on my own.

Lovely tour and very well run, though I'll be honest that April in Agra is seriously hot and the walk around Agra Fort left us wilting a bit by early afternoon. The train and pickup were flawless and the 5-star lunch was a welcome cool break. Guide was patient and kept us hydrated. Just come prepared for the temperature and it's a fantastic day.

Seamless from the 6am hotel pickup to the evening return. What sold me was not having to do the long road drive twice, the Gatimaan handles that in under two hours each way.
