This tour is built around that. The guide is experienced and licensed, and she is with you from Delhi to Delhi.
What you see
The Taj Mahal first, with the time to do it properly rather than as a photo stop.
Itimad-ud-Daulah, known as the Baby Taj, is the one most day trips skip and shouldn't. It was built by Nur Jahan for her father twenty years before the Taj, and it is the first Mughal building faced entirely in white marble with pietra dura inlay. Almost everything the Taj is famous for was tried here first, at a scale you can stand close to. It is also small, shaded and quiet.
Agra Fort closes the day. Red sandstone and marble, the Diwan-i-Am, the Jahangir Palace, and the Musamman Burj where Shah Jahan was held with the Taj in sight across the river.
