Booked the all-inclusive option and it was worth every penny. The driver was outside our Delhi hotel bang on time and the Expressway drive flew by. Our guide grew up in Agra and told us stories about Shah Jahan I'd never read in any guidebook. The 5-star buffet lunch was a lovely surprise after a morning on our feet.

Very smooth private car experience from Noida. What impressed me most was the little things being sorted: cold mineral water in the car, shoe covers handed to us at the marble, and a golf cart so we didn't have to trudge from the gate. Agra Fort was almost more interesting than the Taj thanks to our guide's knowledge. Highly recommend.

A wonderful day but be honest with yourself about the drive. Three hours each way is a lot, and by the time we got back to Delhi we were exhausted. The Taj itself is breathtaking and skipping the ticket queue was brilliant. Just start early and don't plan anything for the evening. The guide was patient and kind.

Took my parents on this and the private format made all the difference. My father struggles with walking but the golf cart and relaxed pace meant he saw everything without stress. The car was spotless and air-conditioned, which matters in this heat. Our guide adjusted the whole day around us. Genuinely thoughtful service.

We were nervous about doing Agra in a single day from Delhi but it worked perfectly. Pickup from Gurgaon, breakfast stop on the Expressway when we asked, and we were standing in front of the Taj by late morning. The vegetarian spread at lunch was fantastic. My partner took hundreds of photos and the guide knew all the best angles.

January was the perfect time to go, cool and clear with no haze over the Taj. Everything ran like clockwork from the moment the driver collected us. Having a government-approved guide meant we walked straight in while others queued. Agra Fort's views back toward the Taj were a highlight I hadn't expected. Faultless from start to finish.

Overall excellent and I'd book again, with one small caveat. By mid-March it was already quite hot walking around the fort in the middle of the day, so I'd suggest an earlier start next time. That aside, the private car was comfortable, lunch at the 5-star hotel was superb, and our guide was warm and full of stories. Great value for a private day.

This was the smoothest way to see the Taj Mahal on limited time. One driver, one guide, one price for the all-inclusive and no faffing with tickets. The guide met us right as we reached Agra and clearly loved his city. Shoe covers, water, golf cart, the 5-star lunch, all included. Came away feeling we'd seen Agra properly, not rushed.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a same-day trip from Delhi, and your driver collects you directly from your preferred location in the morning. Pickup is available from hotels, the railway station and the airport across Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Noida. Just share your address when you book and the team will confirm a pickup time that leaves enough margin for the drive to Agra.
The journey to Agra takes around 3 hours each way via the Yamuna Expressway in a comfortable air-conditioned private car. The Expressway is a modern toll road, so it's a smooth ride. If you'd rather skip the road altogether, some travellers prefer the Delhi–Agra round trip by Gatimaan Express train, which cuts the transfer time significantly.
Absolutely. Just tell your driver if you need a restroom stop or breakfast, and he'll happily pull over at a suitable place along the Expressway. Because the car and driver are entirely private to your group, the pace is yours and there's no fixed roadside schedule to keep to.
It depends on the option you choose. The All Inclusive Tour with AC Car, Guide, Entry Fees & Lunch at 5 Star Hotel covers your monument entrance fees, while the more basic transport-and-guide options do not. If you'd prefer to buy admission separately, you can arrange a standalone Taj Mahal skip-the-line entry ticket for foreigners instead.
The All Inclusive option bundles the private AC car, government-approved guide, all monument entry fees and a buffet lunch at a 5-star hotel into one price. The Tour with AC Car, Driver and Guide option covers transport and guiding but leaves tickets and lunch to you. Choose the all-inclusive if you'd rather have everything sorted in advance with no queuing at ticket counters.
A buffet lunch at a 5-star restaurant is included when you select the All Inclusive option. Indian buffets always feature a generous spread of vegetarian dishes, so vegetarians, vegans and those avoiding certain ingredients are very well looked after. Let the guide know of any dietary needs and he'll point you to suitable options at the buffet.
You'll have a private, government-approved guide who is a native of Agra and joins you once you arrive in the city. Beyond skipping the ticket line, he shares the anecdotes and history behind Shah Jahan's monument to love that you'd otherwise miss. If you only need guiding and not transport, you can also book an official Taj Mahal tour guide locally in Agra.
The itinerary also includes Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the red-sandstone Mughal stronghold with sweeping views back toward the Taj. It makes a natural pairing with the mausoleum and rounds out the Mughal story of the city. Travellers wanting to add the abandoned imperial capital nearby might prefer the Agra and Fatehpur Sikri day trip.
There's a fair amount of walking on marble and uneven stone, plus some steps at Agra Fort, but the pace is relaxed and private to your group. Helpfully, a golf cart is included to shuttle you between the outer gate and the Taj Mahal itself, which spares tired legs. Older travellers generally manage well, though comfortable shoes are essential.
Visitors must cover their footwear before stepping onto the white-marble plinth of the Taj Mahal to protect the surface. Shoe covers are included on this tour, so you don't need to remove your shoes or bring your own. You simply slip them on at the platform and carry on.
Agra is hot for much of the year, so light, breathable clothing, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are wise, especially from April to June when temperatures soar. The cooler, drier months of October to March are the most comfortable for sightseeing. Note the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, and on that day the Agra Friday special tour of the Fort, Baby Taj and Mehtab Bagh is a great alternative.
Yes, the private format works well for families. Kids enjoy the golf-cart ride, the vast open courtyards of Agra Fort and the sheer scale of the Taj Mahal, and because it's your own car you can pause whenever little ones need a break. The included mineral water and flexible restroom stops make the long day much easier with children.
Photography is very welcome throughout the day. Classic shots include the Taj reflected in the long water channel and the framed view through the Great Gate, and your guide knows the best angles and quieter corners. Note that tripods and photography inside the main mausoleum are restricted by the monument authorities. Keen photographers may also like the dedicated Taj Mahal photography tour with a professional guide.
This is a fully private tour for your group only, with a dedicated air-conditioned car, driver and government-approved guide. You won't share the vehicle with other travellers, and the schedule bends to your pace rather than a fixed group timetable.
With around three hours of driving in each direction plus your time at the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and lunch, this is a full day out — expect to return to Delhi in the evening. An early start makes the day far more comfortable, so plan a relaxed evening afterwards rather than another activity that same night.
Simply select your preferred option, choose your date and share your Delhi pickup location to confirm. Once your booking is processed you'll receive confirmation with your pickup details. For the exact cancellation and refund terms that apply to your chosen date, please check the policy shown at checkout before you pay, as timings can vary by season.

Foreign tourists pay ₹1,100 (plus ₹200 for mausoleum access), and booking online in advance means you skip the ticket-window queues entirely. You can get Taj Mahal tickets with skip-the-line entry directly through us, or read the full ticket price breakdown covering every category and gate.
Yes, the Taj Mahal is strictly closed to the general public every Friday for religious prayers at the mosque within the complex. Plan your Agra itinerary accordingly. On Fridays, we recommend visiting Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj), or Mehtab Bagh for a stunning sunset view of the Taj.
Yes, foreign tourists must carry their original physical passport for identification at the Taj Mahal entrance gates. Digital copies or photocopies are not accepted by CISF security. Indian nationals need an Aadhaar card or Voter ID. Check our ticket price guide for the latest entry requirements and fees.
Sunrise is the most magical time — the marble glows golden in the early light and crowds are minimal. Gates open 30 minutes before sunrise. See our opening time guide for seasonal timings. Sunset from Mehtab Bagh is a stunning alternative if you prefer a more relaxed viewing experience.
Peak season (October–March) sees heavy tourist footfall, especially on weekends and holidays. Early morning visits (before 8 AM) are essential to avoid congestion. Our licensed guides know the optimal routes and timing to navigate crowds efficiently. Consider weekday visits for a significantly quieter experience.
Absolutely! The Golden Triangle (Delhi → Agra → Jaipur) is India's most popular tourist circuit. From Agra, Jaipur is approximately 4 hours by expressway. We offer multi-day Golden Triangle packages as well as same-day trips from Delhi to Agra that can be combined with a Jaipur extension.
Delhi's top heritage sites include the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, and the bustling lanes of Old Delhi. See our things to do in Delhi guide for a comprehensive list with insider tips from local guides.
We recommend 2–3 days to cover Delhi's major highlights comfortably. Use our Delhi 1-day itinerary if you're short on time. Many travelers combine Delhi with a day trip to Agra for the Taj Mahal and then continue to Jaipur for the Golden Triangle circuit.
Delhi is generally safe for tourists, especially in well-traveled areas around monuments, hotels, and markets. Standard travel precautions apply. Our licensed guides ensure you navigate the city safely and comfortably, avoiding tourist traps and ensuring authentic experiences.
