Three or four markets, on foot, with someone who shops them.
This is the walking version rather than the full-day driven one: a local market expert takes you through a handpicked set of markets, on foot, for about four hours.
Where you go
Kinari Bazaar in Old Delhi, a lane so narrow two people pass sideways, selling nothing but wedding trim, zari borders, tassels and sequins. It is the single most photographed market in Delhi for good reason.
Janpath for silver, textiles and bags at prices that reward bargaining.
And one or two more chosen for what you are after: Dilli Haat for state crafts, Lajpat Nagar for everyday clothing, Sarojini Nagar for export surplus at a fraction of the label price.
The optional add-on brings in street food along the way, which in these lanes means parathas, chaat, jalebi and kulfi from places your guide actually eats at.
