The Golden Triangle compressed into two days.
This is the short version of the circuit, and it is honest about what that means: two long days with a night in Jaipur between them. You see the three cities. You do not linger anywhere.
Day one — Delhi to Agra to Jaipur
Early start from Delhi down the Yamuna Expressway. The Taj Mahal with time to do it properly, and Agra Fort, where the Musamman Burj looks across the river at the tomb Shah Jahan built and was later confined in sight of. Then west, with Fatehpur Sikri on the road if the schedule allows — Akbar's sandstone capital, abandoned within fifteen years. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day two — Jaipur to Delhi
Amer Fort and its Sheesh Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal. Then the drive back to Delhi, about five hours.

This is genuinely a compressed itinerary — roughly 12 hours of driving across two days. If you have three days, take the three-day version; the same route becomes considerably more pleasant.

Fatehpur Sikri is the first thing to be cut if day one runs late. Say at the start if it matters to you.
