Eight options here running from a three-day circuit up to five days with two safaris, which means you choose the trade between pace and coverage rather than being handed one.
Three days is the classic circuit at speed: Delhi, Agra, Jaipur. It works and every day is long.
Four days adds Ranthambore and one safari, and gives the Taj its sunrise slot.
Five days adds a second safari, which matters more than it sounds — tiger sightings depend on zone and luck, so two attempts is a meaningfully different proposition from one.
What you see throughout
Delhi: Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, India Gate. Agra: the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri on the road west. Jaipur: Amer Fort and the Sheesh Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal. Ranthambore: safari in a tenth-century fort's forest, with leopard, sloth bear and a long bird list alongside the tigers.

Ranthambore closes 1 July to 30 September for the monsoon.
Safari slots are government-allocated and sell out in season. The zone is assigned by the forest department, not chosen. No honest operator guarantees a tiger.
The Taj is closed on Fridays, the Red Fort on Mondays.
Morning safaris are better for sightings and genuinely cold in an open vehicle in December. Bring layers.
NCR pickup saves an hour if you are staying in Gurugram or Noida.
