Fatehpur Sikri est la victime de toutes les excursions d'une journée à Agra. Le site se trouve à 40 km à l'ouest de la ville, soit une heure dans chaque sens que vous n'avez tout simplement pas si vous devez aussi rentrer à Delhi. Passer la nuit règle le problème.
Jour un
Prise en charge à votre hôtel ou à l'aéroport de Delhi, voiture privée climatisée par la Yamuna Expressway. Le fort d'Agra l'après-midi, puis le Taj Mahal dans la lumière du soir. Installation à l'hôtel.
Jour deux
Le Taj au lever du soleil si vous le souhaitez, puis vers l'ouest jusqu'à Fatehpur Sikri. Akbar a bâti cette capitale en grès rouge à partir de 1571 et l'a abandonnée en une quinzaine d'années, très probablement parce que l'eau a manqué. Le Buland Darwaza et ses 54 mètres, les cinq étages ouverts du Panch Mahal, et le dargah de marbre de Salim Chishti où les femmes nouent encore des fils aux claustras sont tous intacts, et il y a rarement foule. Puis la route du retour vers Delhi.

Le Taj est fermé le vendredi. Fatehpur Sikri et le fort d'Agra sont ouverts tous les jours, donc une arrivée le vendredi fonctionne quand même si vous prévoyez le Taj le second jour.

Fatehpur Sikri a une courte navette depuis le parking et beaucoup de pierre en plein soleil, avec peu d'ombre.
