India's fastest train, and the day it makes possible.
The Gatimaan Express runs Hazrat Nizamuddin to Agra Cantt at up to 160 km/h, covering the distance in about 100 minutes. The road version of the same journey is three hours on a good day. Breakfast is served on the morning service and included in the fare.
More importantly, the train removes the variable that wrecks most Delhi day trips, which is traffic getting out of the city.
How the day runs
Pickup from your hotel or the airport in Delhi for the morning departure. At Agra Cantt a private air-conditioned car and your government-approved guide are waiting, and the car stays with you all day.
The Taj Mahal with a full guided visit, then Agra Fort, where the Musamman Burj looks across the Yamuna at the tomb Shah Jahan built and was later confined in sight of. Late afternoon back to the station for the return, and a car meets you in Delhi.
About ten hours, of which only three and a half are travel.

Worth knowing
The Taj is closed on Fridays, and the Gatimaan does not run on Fridays either.
Train seats are tied to your date and booked in advance, so this is the least flexible part of the day. Confirm before booking anything around it.
