Départ dès 5h, car la route décide de votre journée

Delhi à Jaipur, c'est 270 km. Partir à cinq heures vous fait dépasser Gurugram avant son réveil et atteindre le Fort d'Amber vers dix heures, la dernière heure où les cours sont encore agréables. Partir à huit heures vous coûte les deux.

Il existe aussi une option de départ depuis Jaipur si vous y êtes déjà.

Fort d'Amber

Commencé en 1592 par Raja Man Singh sur une crête au-dessus du lac Maota, dans le grès pâle des Aravalli.

La porte Ganesh Pol, peinte et dorée. Le Sheesh Mahal, où des milliers de fragments de miroirs convexes ont été incrustés au plafond afin qu'une seule bougie remplisse la chambre de points de lumière. Le Sukh Niwas, rafraîchi par l'eau circulant dans des canaux à travers les murs de marbre.

Jal Mahal

Un arrêt photo depuis la chaussée. Quatre des cinq étages sont sous l'eau, pas d'entrée.

City Palace

Toujours en partie la résidence de l'ancienne famille royale, avec l'armurerie, les galeries textiles et les deux urnes d'argent coulées pour qu'un maharaja puisse emporter de l'eau du Gange lors d'un voyage en Angleterre.

Jantar Mantar

Dix-neuf instruments astronomiques en maçonnerie construits dans les années 1730 par Jai Singh II. Classé UNESCO. Le Samrat Yantra est un cadran solaire de 27 mètres dont l'ombre se déplace visiblement, six centimètres par minute, et il est encore précis à environ deux secondes.

Hawa Mahal

L'écran en nid d'abeille de 953 fenêtres sur Sireh Deori Bazaar, depuis la rue d'en face.
