The Gatimaan Express from Delhi to Agra was a wonderful experience in itself. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to Hazrat Nizamuddin station where the train departed on time. The Gatimaan is India's first semi high speed train and it was smooth, clean and fast. We arrived in Agra in under 2 hours. Our guide at the Taj Mahal was superb, explaining the Mughal architecture and the love story of Shah Jahan. Agra Fort was equally impressive. The return Gatimaan got us back to Delhi by evening.

Absolutley loved the Gatimaan Express day trip to the Taj Mahal. The train departs from Hazrat Nizamuddin station and reaches Agra in about 100 minutes which is incredible. Onboard meals were included and quite tasty. In Agra our guide was waiting and took us directly to the Taj. The morning light on the white marble was stunning. We also visited Agra Fort and had time for shopping in the local market. The Gatimaan return train was equally comfortable. So much better than spending 4 hours each way in a car.

Good day tour to the Taj Mahal by the Gatimaan Express train. The train was modern and fast, a pleasant surprise given my expectations of Indian railways. In Agra the guide was knowledgable and we spent a good 2 hours at the Taj. Also visited Agra Fort and the Baby Taj. The included onboard meal was decent. Giving 4 stars because the transfer from our hotel to Hazrat Nizamuddin station through Delhi morning traffic was stressful and we nearly missed the train. Would reccomend staying near the station the night before.

The Gatimaan Express to Agra is the best way to see the Taj Mahal from Delhi. The train is fast, comfortable and the onboard service was great. Our guide in Agra was one of the most passionate and knowledgable guides I have ever had. He explained the mathematical perfection of the Taj, how every element is designed to create an illusion of perfect symmetry. We visited the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and even had time for a quick marble inlay demonstration. Train back to Delhi was on time and comfortable. Definately the way to go.

Taking the Gatimaan Express from Hazrat Nizamuddin station to Agra was a highlight of our India trip. The train is genuinely fast and modern with comfortable seats and good AC. In Agra our guide took us to the Taj Mahal first thing and the morning crowds were manageable. The guide pointed out the optical illusions in the design and the fact that the minarets lean outward for earthquake protection. After the Taj we visited Agra Fort where Shah Jahan was imprisoned.
