Full description

A day trip that runs on time

Pickup is before dawn — usually between 5 and 6 am — from anywhere in Delhi, Noida or Gurgaon. That sounds brutal and it is the only reason the day works: leave at six and you are through Gurgaon before the traffic, on Amber Fort's ramp by eleven, and back in Delhi by ten at night.

The drive is 270 km on the Jaipur expressway with one break. The car is private and air-conditioned, and it is yours for the whole day rather than a shared coach on a fixed schedule.

In Jaipur

A licensed local guide meets you at the first stop. This matters — a driver from Delhi can get you to Amber Fort but cannot tell you what you are standing in.

The base rate is the private car and the guide. The fuller rate adds lunch and every monument entrance fee, which removes the ₹1,500-a-head ticket queue from your day.

Before you book

Sixteen to eighteen hours door to door. Anyone who cannot sit in a car for nine of those should not book it. Everyone else gets Jaipur's best five sites and sleeps in their own bed.
