Fourteen hours, and pickup from wherever you actually are.
Collection runs from any location in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida or Gurugram — which saves a dead hour at the start if you are staying outside the centre.
Fourteen hours is a long day and worth being honest about: roughly ten of them are Jaipur and four are driving, with about 270 km each way.
What you see
Amer Fort, from 1592, above Maota Lake. The Sheesh Mahal mirror palace, the painted Ganesh Pol, and the water-cooled Sukh Niwas.
City Palace, partly still the royal residence — the Mubarak Mahal textile collection, and the Diwan-i-Khas with its two silver urns, built so a maharaja could carry Ganges water to England in 1901 rather than drink anything else.
Jantar Mantar, the 1730s observatory with nineteen working instruments, including a 27-metre sundial accurate to two seconds.
Hawa Mahal, the 953-window facade built in 1799 so royal women could watch street processions unseen.
Plus Jal Mahal on Man Sagar Lake as a view stop.
